Job summary

Hanwha Renewables seeks a Principal IPE to lead interconnection planning analyses for utility-scale solar PV and storage projects. You will supervise electrical analysis of high-voltage transmission systems and guide internal teams through ISO/RTO processes.

Responsibilities include coordinating studies, negotiating interconnection agreements, mentoring engineers, and supporting due diligence for M&A. Expertise in load-flow software and tariffs is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required; MBA preferred.
• Ten years of transmission and interconnection planning experience on renewable projects, including solar PV and energy storage.
• Experience with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, and regulators; ability to manage complex interconnection processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead interconnection studies and powerflow analyses for utility-scale solar and storage projects.
• Negotiate Generator Interconnection Agreements (GIAs) and related contracts with utilities and ISOs/RTOs.
• Coordinate due diligence for M&A projects and manage external study resources.
• Mentor junior transmission planning engineers and provide technical guidance.
