Job summary

CDM Smith seeks an experienced Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to lead cross-discipline model coordination across architecture, structures, transportation, roadway, and MEP for transit and multimodal projects.

You will drive clash detection, enforce BIM standards, and mentor production staff across offices using Autodesk tools and related software. Domestic travel may be required to coordinate fieldwork and client meetings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational CADD drafting training.
• Experience working with intelligent modeling and BIM processes.
• Knowledge of design standards and project documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination of intelligent models across architecture, structures, transportation, roadway and MEP.
• Model coordination and clash detection using Navisworks and coordination across disciplines.
• Establishes and enforces CADD/BIM standards and workflows across offices.
• Mentors production staff and provides design sketches for finished drawings.
• Acts as Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to ensure alignment across design teams.
• Performs quality checks of drawings for consistency and layering guidelines.
• Supports model integrity, versioning, and interoperability across Autodesk and Bentley tools.
• Reviews prints and fabricator drawings to aid design documents.
• Contributes to BIM Execution Plans and model-based deliverable scoping.
• Interacts with clients, agencies, and subconsultants on deliverable requirements.
