Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced Intelligent Modeling Coordinator for transit and multimodal projects. You will coordinate models across architecture, structures, transportation, roadway design, and MEP, delivering federated, clash-checked models through the project lifecycle.

You will mentor staff, enforce BIM standards, and support model health, versioning, and data handoff. Strong Autodesk stack expertise and client coordination are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with vocational training in CADD drafting technology.
• 12 years of related experience on transit or multimodal projects is preferred.
• Proficiency with Autodesk CADD/BIM tools and design standards is essential.
• Experience coordinating models across architecture, structures, and MEP disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Intelligent Modeling Coordinator for transit/multimodal projects.
• Coordinate models across disciplines into a single federated deliverable.
• Run clash detection in Navisworks and resolve cross-discipline conflicts.
• Establish and enforce CADD/BIM standards and templates.
• Mentor production staff and provide design sketches for deliverables.
• Ensure model integrity, versioning, and interoperability across tools.
• Review manufacturers' prints and support basic design calculations.
• Develop BIM Execution Plans and advise on LOE and scope.
