Job summary

CDM Smith seeks an experienced Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to lead cross‑discipline coordination for transit and multimodal projects. You will integrate models across architecture, structural, roadway, and MEP disciplines into a single federated, clash‑checked deliverable.

Responsibilities include running clash detection, enforcing BIM standards, mentoring staff, and developing BIM Execution Plans. Domestic/international travel may be required to support project delivery.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational training in CADD drafting and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience in design/drafting for transit or multimodal projects.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate intelligent models across architecture, structures, roadway design and MEP to create federated, clash-checked deliverables.
• Run Navisworks clash detection and lead resolution across disciplines early in design.
• Develop BIM Execution Plans and model-based deliverables; advise on LOD/LOE.
• Maintain CADD/BIM standards, templates, and workflows across offices.
• Mentor production staff and provide design sketches for junior team members.
• Interface with clients, agencies, and subconsultants on model deliverable requirements.
