Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior Integration & Automation Engineer for a remote role in the Aerospace & Defense space. You will shape integration architecture, connect enterprise data platforms, and enable scalable automation across the organization.

Responsibilities include designing reusable integration patterns, defining API contracts, and guiding engineering teams with architecture diagrams and documentation. Strong API, ETL, and data governance experience are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience, or 7+ years with an advanced degree
• Experience in enterprise application integration or integration engineering
• Proficient in designing and developing REST APIs and OpenAPI specifications
• Skilled in Python, Java, or similar programming languages
• Familiarity with ETL architecture, SQL, and modern data platforms
• Experience in data quality profiling and validation

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Integration & Automation Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space.

This role will shape integration architecture that connects enterprise data platforms, supports governance, and enables scalable automation across the organization. You will collaborate with engineering and cross-functional partners to define standards, build reusable patterns, and improve the flow, quality, and usability of data. The position requires strong technical depth in APIs, ETL, and modern data environments, along with the ability to guide design decisions and document solutions clearly.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $132,400 – $251,600 annually
