Job summary

Ladders is seeking an Application Engineer - DevOps & Engineering Tools to support deployment and reliability of enterprise software in cloud and on‑prem environments. The role centers on DevSecOps-enabled delivery, automation, and tooling to help engineering teams build, test, and release software efficiently.

You will partner with engineering, support, and leadership to improve service stability, strengthen compliance, and modernize legacy platforms while working remotely.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 5+ years.
• Strong Linux system administration skills.
• Experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Podman.
• Ability to develop automation scripts in Bash, Python, or Perl.
• Troubleshooting skills in network and Web concepts.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a government security clearance.

For our client, we are seeking a Application Engineer - DevOps & Engineering Tools to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space.

This role will support the deployment and ongoing reliability of enterprise software applications across cloud and on-premises environments. The position is centered on DevSecOps-enabled delivery, automation, and tooling that helps engineering teams build, test, and release software more efficiently. You will partner closely with engineering, support, and leadership teams to improve service stability, strengthen compliance, and modernize legacy platforms.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $107,500 – $204,500 annually

Responsibilities
