Job summary

Kin Insurance seeks a Senior Insurance Business Analyst to convert product decisions into systems that work as intended. This remote-friendly role spans product development, operations, and tech delivery, requiring deep P&C insurance knowledge and sharp questioning early in the process.

You’ll own requirements for new products, state launches, and coverage changes, translating them into clear business and functional specs for engineering and tech product teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a business/ systems analyst in insurance, 3+ in P&C.
• Translate insurance concepts into technical requirements for Engineering.
• Experience in an Agile or iterative delivery environment.
• Proven ability to create user stories, data mappings, and acceptance criteria.
• Ability to synthesize input from multiple stakeholders into clear decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own requirements lifecycle for new products, state launches, and endorsements.
• Translate product decisions into structured business and functional specs.
• Lead UAT planning, test scenarios, and beta validation with cross-functional teams.
• Document current and future-state processes and ensure traceability.
• Partner with multiple teams to align decisions from business to deployment.
• Identify gaps and edge cases before development begins.
