Job summary

Alexander & Schmidt is seeking a Senior Insurance Loss Control Consultant to perform inspections and develop in-depth reports for underwriting. You will assess commercial properties, identify risk, and provide guidance to underwriters and insureds.

The role requires substantial fieldwork and report generation. The candidate should have a strong grasp of property, casualty, inland marine, and workers compensation considerations, with exceptional writing and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience with a major carrier or working as an independent contractor providing loss control services.
• Extensive understanding of commercial property and casualty lines.
• Preferred certifications CSP, OHST, ALCM and/or ARM.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high-quality loss control surveys and prepare detailed reports for underwriting.
• Provide risk improvement services including training, hazard analysis and regulatory assessments.
• Communicate findings clearly with clients and underwriters, including written reports and diagrams.
