Job summary

Alexander & Schmidt is seeking a Senior Insurance Loss Control Consultant to perform inspections and develop underwriting reports for commercial properties and operations.

Candidates should have 10+ years in loss control with carriers or as independent contractors, with extensive knowledge of commercial property and casualty lines including inland marine, CGL and workers' compensation. Excellent writing and communication skills are essential; travel within a 60-mile radius is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in commercial loss control with a major carrier or as an independent contractor.
• Extensive knowledge of commercial property and casualty lines.
• Experience with property, inland marine, CGL and workers' compensation risk assessments.
• Ability to produce accurate loss control reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Certifications CSP/OHST/ALCM/ARM preferred.
• Willingness to travel within a 60-mile radius.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and prepare in-depth loss control reports for underwriting.
• Identify trends, root causes and corrective actions.
• Provide risk improvement services including training, hazard analysis and regulatory assessments.
• Upload reports, photos and diagrams to web-based systems.
• Collaborate with insureds to support underwriting and loss prevention.
