Alexander & Schmidt seeks an Insurance Loss Control Field Representative to perform on-site inspections of property, GL, and incidental auto, and to prepare detailed reports for underwriting. The position requires 3–5 years in loss control or related insurance work, strong communication and computer skills, and a willingness to travel within a 60-mile radius.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience with a commercial carrier or independent loss control contractor
• Understanding of commercial property and casualty lines (property, general liability, auto, workers’ comp)
• Strong writing, organizational, and computer skills
• Willing to travel within a 60-mile radius
• CSP, OHST, ALCM and/or ARM preferred but not required
• Experience uploading reports via a website or web-based systems

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site property, general liability and incidental auto inspections and prepare reports for underwriting purposes
• Prepare high-quality, accurate loss control surveys to guide underwriting decisions and loss control improvements
• Upload completed reports, photos, and diagrams to a dedicated website or web-based systems
