Job summary

Alexander & Schmidt seeks an Insurance Loss Control Field Representative to conduct on-site inspections of commercial property, general liability and auto exposures for underwriting reports. You will visit client sites, collect data, photos and diagrams, and upload complete reports via web systems to support risk selection.

Travel within a 60-mile radius is required; strong writing, communication and time-management skills are essential, along with knowledge of property and casualty lines.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience with a commercial carrier or as an independent loss control contractor.
• Understanding of commercial property and casualty lines including property, general liability, auto and workers compensation.
• Strong writing, organizational, and computer skills.
• Excellent time management. Travel within a 60-mile radius.
• Professional certifications CSP, OHST, ALCM and/or ARM are preferred, but not required.
• Uploading completed reports, photos and diagrams through web-based systems or a special website.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site property, general liability and incidental auto inspections.
• Prepare underwriting reports for insurance purposes.

• Support underwriter in risk assessment and profitability decisions.
