Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company seeks an Associate Senior Counsel to handle a caseload of moderate to high exposure litigation for insureds and the company, from inception through trial and appeal. You will deliver proactive case handling and counsel to insured clients and claim partners.

You will mentor less experienced attorneys, collaborate with experts, and contribute to training while utilizing technology and case management tools.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate or equivalent law degree; graduate of an accredited law school.
• 4 years experience as a practicing attorney.
• Active license in good standing to practice law in required state(s).
• Willingness to travel to meetings as needed with valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of moderate to high exposure cases and major case matters.
• Apply pre-trial and trial strategies to achieve verdicts or settlements.
• Conduct advanced legal research and persuasive writing.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery documents.
• Attend court events, depositions, and other proceedings independently.
• Mentor junior attorneys and collaborate with experts and claims partners.
