Job summary

Grange Insurance Company in Ohio is seeking an attorney to defend insured clients in pending state and federal litigation, supporting the house counsel office in day-to-day operations. The position is 100% remote with travel as needed across NE & NC Ohio and surrounding states.

You must be a member of the Ohio Bar with at least five years of insurance defense experience, capable of litigating in state and federal court, and well-versed in tort/negligence, coverage disputes, and insurance

Qualifications

• Must be a member of the Ohio Bar with at least five years in insurance defense litigation.
• Ability to litigate in state and federal court and handle tort/negligence and coverage disputes.
• Strong analytical, organizational and research skills; effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Defend insured clients in pending litigation across the assigned states.
• Travel as necessary, including occasional overnight stays.
• Maintain and manage litigation files per House Counsel protocols.
• Assist in training where needed and support management reports for the office.
