Confidential Ohio law firm seeks a Senior Insurance Defense Attorney with a proven track record in complex defense litigation to join its growing practice. This is a succession-planning opportunity to work with a respected senior partner, gradually transitioning key client relationships and positioning for leadership.

The ideal candidate will have a J.D., Ohio admission, 8+ years of insurance defense experience, exceptional writing and advocacy, and a demonstrated ability to build durable client

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Ohio or eligibility for admission.
• 8+ years of insurance defense litigation experience.
• Demonstrated experience independently managing complex litigation matters.
• Excellent writing, advocacy, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Business development experience or a portable book of business is preferred but not required.
• Leadership, mentoring, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle a broad range of insurance defense litigation matters.
• Manage cases from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, arbitration, and trial.
• Provide strategic legal counsel and practical solutions to clients.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional communication and responsiveness.
• Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.
• Participate in business development and client relationship initiatives.

Compensation: $175,000 per year
