Kin Insurance, Inc. is seeking a Senior Insurance Business Analyst to translate product decisions into precise requirements.

This role sits at the intersection of insurance product development, operations, and technical delivery, coordinating with Insurance Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance, Claims, Operations, Engineering, and Tech Product to ensure accurate implementation. You will own the requirements lifecycle for new products, state launches, endorsements, and coverage changes,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a business/systems analyst or similar role in P&C insurance.
• Experience translating insurance product concepts into structured requirements for engineering/product teams.
• Working knowledge of insurance product lifecycle and systems for policy administration and billing.
• Experience producing user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, data mappings, and documentation.
• Experience partnering with IT/engineering in Agile environments, including requirements clarification, UAT, and validation.
• Proven ability to synthesize stakeholder input into clearly documented decisions.
• Bonus: knowledge of policy admin systems and how rating/forms rules are configured.

Responsibilities

• Translate business decisions on products, forms, endorsements, and state configurations into clear requirements and specifications.
• Own requirements lifecycle from discovery to implementation-ready handoff to Engineering/Tech Product.
• Lead discovery, document workflows, assess gaps, and manage downstream impacts across rating, policy admin, billing, and claims.
• Build user stories, data mappings, decision tables, and acceptance criteria for developers with traceability.
• Lead development clarifications, decisions, and documentation during the delivery process.
• Coordinate UAT planning, test scenarios, and product reviews to validate changes before broad release.
