Job summary

Kin Insurance is seeking a Senior Insurance Business Analyst to translate P&C product decisions into precise requirements and specifications for Engineering and Tech Product. You’ll collaborate across Insurance Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance, Claims, Operations, Engineering, and Tech Product to ensure accurate implementation and governance.

You’ll own the requirements lifecycle for new products, state configurations, and coverage changes, driving clarity and reducing risk

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a business analyst, systems analyst, or similar role, including 3+ years in P&C insurance.
Experience translating insurance product concepts into structured requirements for Engineering and Tech Product.
Working knowledge of the insurance product lifecycle and policy administration systems.
Experience producing user stories, acceptance criteria, data mappings, and current/future-state documentation.
Experience partnering with Engineering/IT in an Agile delivery environment, including UAT and implementation validation.
Ability to synthesize input from multiple stakeholders into clearly documented decisions and surface ambiguity early.
Bonus: knowledge of policy administration systems and how rating/forms/rules are configured in production.
Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

Own the requirements lifecycle for new products, state launches, endorsements, forms, rating updates, and compliance across teams.
Be the go-to resource for teams that depend on accurate, implementation-ready requirements.
Translate business decisions into clear business requirements and functional specifications for Engineering and Tech Product.
Gather inputs from multiple stakeholders and maintain alignment from decision through deployment.
Lead UAT planning, test scenarios, and product beta-validation to confirm correct implementation.
Document current-state processes and define future-state workflows with traceability.
