Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Senior Instrumentation Technician to operate, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair critical building systems within the Texas Medical Center. You will contribute to a safe, reliable environment for patients, visitors and staff, collaborating with internal teams, contractors and vendors.

Qualifications

• Requires strong instrumentation, controls, HVAC, electrical and building automation expertise.
• Demonstrates calibration, troubleshooting, repair, commissioning, documentation and coordination of control systems.
• Education/licensure as applicable; candidates should show technical depth in instrumentation and control activities.

Responsibilities

• Respond to client requests and emergencies promptly.
• Maintain, repair and troubleshoot live circuits and control enclosures; install/repair 120/208/240/480 V controls per NEC.
• Calibrate, install and test systems using hand tools; interpret electrical/pneumatic/hvac schematics.
