Job summary

UT MD Anderson is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to perform skilled maintenance, repair, and preventive tasks across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems within a hospital environment. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and operational continuity at the Texas Medical Center.

Ideal candidates have 5 years of cross‑craft experience, knowledge of CMMS (MAXIMO a plus), and the ability to manage work orders, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with vendors

Qualifications

• 5 years experience in one or more crafts (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, instrumentation).
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Associates degree preferred.
• Experience in hospital/healthcare facilities is a plus.
• Experience with CMMS and building systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, troubleshooting, routine and preventive maintenance on equipment, buildings and utility systems.
• Respond to HVAC service calls for varied conditions and equipment repair.
• Maintain and repair plumbing systems including restrooms, lab utilities, and drains.
• Perform electrical tasks such as replacing diffusers, lamps, switches, and receptacles.
• Coordinate regulatory inspections and manage work orders and documentation.
• Support operations, safety, and quality through teamwork with multiple craft teams.
