Job summary

UT MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Senior Electrician to ensure safe, reliable operation of critical electrical infrastructure, including normal and emergency power systems. You will respond to service calls, perform preventive maintenance, and support facilities operations affecting patient care and research.

The ideal candidate holds a Texas Journeyman Electrician license and a Master Electrician license, with six years of post-journeyman experience and strong troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• Licensed electrician with five+ years of experience in installations and repairs.
• Ability to read prints, troubleshoot electrical systems, and manage maintenance inventories.
• Experience with lighting systems, motor controls, panels, switchgear, transformers, and BAS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair normal and emergency power systems.
• Troubleshoot motor control, PLC, and alarm system components.
• Respond to work orders, document actions, and report to supervisors.
• Coordinate workflow of electricians and technicians; assist vendors as needed.
• Provide backup support and may precept junior staff.
