Job summary

LT Technology Services in Midland, TX seeks an Instrumentation and Control Design Engineer to deliver engineering packages for power and instrumentation in industrial plants. You will define the scope with customers, coordinate with offshore teams, and deliver complete engineering deliverables.

You will coordinate inputs from customers, work with vendors and construction teams, attend reviews, and support startup activities, including electrical startup of process equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Instrumentation and Control Design Engineer for industrial plants.
• Design and selection of controls and hardware for process instrumentation.
• Prepare Instrument Datasheets, IO Lists, Instrument List, Wiring Diagrams and Engineering Information.
• Knowledge in PLC and SCADA systems for industrial networks.
• Experience in LV Electrical Distribution Design Power Distribution Panels and MCCs per NEC.
• Knowledge on control panel design per UL508A.
• Experience in system commissioning and validation is a plus.
• NFPA70E training/qualification is desired.

Responsibilities

• Deliver designs and engineering packages related to power and instrumentation installation for industrial plants.
• Define scope of work with the customer, coordinate with offshore team, and deliver engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate with the Customer to collect inputs to complete the Engineering Design.
• Coordinate with vendors and construction team to obtain information for design completion.
• Attend design reviews with customer and construction team and obtain approvals.
• Support construction and startup activities.
• Lead electrical startup of all process and packing equipment.
