Job summary

Kent is seeking a Senior Instrumentation & Electrical Designer based in Corpus Christi, TX. This full-time, in-office role requires relocation not necessary and travel per project.

You will lead design activities, coordinate with global teams, and ensure designs meet industry standards. Strong experience with AutoCAD, Intools, and Bentley is essential, with Navisworks a plus for 3D modeling.

Qualifications

• Technical college graduation with 15+ years of experience or equivalent combination.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in refinery, midstream, petrochemical or other heavy industries.
• In-depth knowledge of Instrumentation & Electrical engineering design software.
• Workshare knowledge coordinating with team members in a global engineering center.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Intools (Smartplant), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Familiar with NEC, IEC, ISA & IEEE design standards.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Bentley; Navisworks a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and complete drawings using practical design knowledge.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and assist the lead engineers to ensure quality product.
• Conduct field investigations and produce field reports with detailed sketches.
• As project lead designer, coordinate design activities between home office, workshare office and client, providing leadership and timely feedback.
