Job summary
Sargent & Lundy in Texas is seeking an experienced Electrical/Instrumentation & Controls designer to lead project teams, develop drawings, and review vendor deliverables for power generation and industrial facilities.
You will mentor others in AutoCAD or MicroStation, create grounding layouts and wiring diagrams, and work in a hybrid model with three days in the office and two remote days, ensuring quality and safety standards across all deliverables.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent technical design experience.
- 10+ years in Electrical/Instrumentation & Controls design including 2D & 3D.
- Experience reviewing Electrical/Instrumentation & Controls deliverables.
- Extensive drafting experience using AutoCAD or MicroStation on power plants or large industrial facilities.
- Strong understanding of drafting/design practices.
Responsibilities
- Produce Electrical/Instrumentation & Controls deliverables packages.
- Review and incorporate vendor drawings into project design.
- Support other designers and project team members to ensure complete and timely design.
- Participate in field walkdowns and data gathering at client facilities.
