Job summary

Kent is seeking Lead Instrument & Controls Commissioning Technicians to be based in Port Arthur, TX and support regional project site(s).

You will supervise field technicians, perform commissioning work, and ensure safety and quality standards across instrumentation, loop checks, and testing activities.

The role requires 15+ years of hands-on experience, a technician certificate, and strong English communication to coordinate with vendors and site teams.

Qualifications

• Technician-certified with a college technical certificate and 15+ years’ experience.
• Establish frontline commissioning, start-up and initial platform operations.
• Hands-on knowledge of instrument test equipment including HART devices and pressure simulators.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the I&C Commissioning Site Supervisor for planning and execution.
• Field supervision of I&C commissioning technicians.
• Carries out instrumentation commissioning execution as directed.
• Verifies punch lists and signs off in the systems completion database.
