Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Nevada seeks a CSU Instrument and Controls Startup Engineer for the Thacker Pass Project. You will lead precommissioning and commissioning planning, coordinate with project management, engineering and construction to integrate startup activities.

You will identify risks, track progress, and ensure schedules and requirements are met, with shift hours, overtime as needed, and collaboration with client teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) with 10–13 years of relevant experience.
• 7+ years in Precommissioning, Commissioning, Startup or facility Operations, incl. supervisory experience.
• Experience with mining/extraction facilities and associated control philosophies.
• Right to work in the U.S. or sponsorship required/considered.

Responsibilities

• Reports to Bechtel Thacker Pass Lead Instrument and Controls Startup Engineer.
• Coordinate with disciplines to prepare startup plan.
• Develop advanced work packages for Instruments and Controls precommissioning and commissioning testing.
• Prepare startup plans and system turnover procedures; monitor schedules and budgets.
• Direct and participate in system turnover walkdowns and punch list resolution.
