Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is leading the Thacker Pass project in Nevada as the EPCM contractor. The role focuses on precommissioning and commissioning planning for electrical systems, coordinating with project management, engineering, construction and clients to ensure schedules and requirements are met.

You will identify risks, manage progress reporting and support startup activities across multiple disciplines, including testing at component, system and integrated facility levels.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10–13 years of relevant experience or 14–17 years of relevant work experience.
• Minimum of 7 years prior experience in Precommissioning, Commissioning, Startup or facility Operations including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial position.
• Right to work and remain in the U.S. or for consideration as a sponsored visa candidate.

Responsibilities

• Reports to Bechtel Thacker Pass Commissioning Preoperational Manager and CSU Manager.
• The CSU Lead Electrical Startup Engineer has the overall responsibility for the Electrical systems of the Thacker Pass Project.
• Developing Advanced Work Packages for Electrical systems Precommissioning and Commissioning testing activities are prepared during home office assignment.
• Participating in development of the project startup manual, preparing testing procedures and system turnover documentation.
• Prepare, award and administer specialty subcontracts as required to support commissioning activities.
