Job summary

Bechtel is seeking an experienced CSU Electrical Startup Engineer for the Thacker Pass project in Nevada to lead commissioning planning and startup efforts. You will coordinate with management, engineering, construction, and clients to integrate startup plans and ensure milestones are met.

The role requires deep knowledge of electrical testing, system integration, and risk management, with emphasis on field execution and safety across shifts. Bechtel offers competitive rewards and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) with 10–13 years of relevant experience, or 14–17 years total.
• Minimum 7 years in Precommissioning, Commissioning, Startup with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Understanding of mining and extraction facilities and related process equipment.
• Right to work in the U.S. or sponsorship eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead CSU Electrical Startup activities and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Develop Advanced Work Packages for electrical precommissioning and testing.
• Prepare startup plans and manage schedules and budgets.
• Conduct system turnover walkdowns and resolve punch lists.
• Provide on-the-job training to client personnel.
