Job summary

Crusoe is seeking a Senior Staff Instrumentation and Controls Engineer in Denver to lead end-to-end vendor oversight for power generation programs. You will own design through handoff, oversee FAT/SAT, commissioning, and initial operations, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have 20+ years in control systems, DCS/PLC experience, and strong collaboration and communication skills. PE licensure is desirable but not required; this role reports to Crusoe Power Generation

Qualifications

• 20+ years in control systems or related field.
• Experience with Power Plant DCS or PLC-based control systems.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical systems, PLCs, and industrial controls.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• PE license desired but not required.
• Familiarity with ISA standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level expertise for design and operation of Crusoe Power Generation Plant control systems.
• Oversee system integration and coordinate with electrical and mechanical teams.
• Oversee installation of control systems to meet precise design specifications.
• Lead FAT/SAT testing and commissioning activities.
• Drive startup operations and initial operations support.
• Provide training and documentation for operations staff.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance across projects.
• Review vendor deliverables and enforce standards; resolve cross-vendor conflicts.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ISA standards and best practices.
