Job summary

Blue Origin in Merritt Island, Florida, seeks an engineer to design and build data acquisition and control systems for testing space-vehicle subassemblies and engines. You will gather specifications, create electrical design packages, manage procurement and support installation and activation of systems.

Ideal candidates have PLC ladder Logic, LabVIEW, C++, or Python experience, plus AutoCAD Electrical and instrumentation experience with sensors, accelerometers, and high-fidelity measurements.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering or equivalent with 5–10 years of aerospace control experience.
• Experience designing I&C systems using AutoCAD Electrical; instrumentation theory and DAQ integration.
• Proficiency with PLC/Ladder Logic, LabVIEW, C++ or Python for data acquisition systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build data acquisition and control systems for testing space vehicle sub-assemblies and engines.
• Collect customer specifications, create electrical design packages, and manage procurement.
• Support installation and activation of systems, including sensor suites and signal conditioning.
