Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an engineer to design automated test equipment and software for the Blue Ring spacecraft and its payloads. You will own fielded test hardware and troubleshoot anomalies during validation and verification, while coordinating with avionics owners and customers.

The role requires a BS in a technical field, 3+ years of test equipment experience, and proficiency in LabVIEW, Python or C/C++. Domestic travel may be required and security clearances could be pursued.

Qualifications

• BS in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of Test Equipment hardware or software design experience.
• 3+ years of Assembly, Integration and Test experience.
• Experience developing automated test equipment or test equipment software.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and standards.
• US citizen or eligible for US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated test equipment hardware and software for the Blue Ring spacecraft and its payloads.
• Own fielded test equipment.
• Review and apply real-time test anomaly troubleshooting during hardware validation and verification.
• Support design and production to meet operational and functional requirements.
• Design and develop automated test equipment software using LabVIEW.
• Coordinate design elements with avionics product owners and collaborate with customers.
