Job summary

Blue Origin in Washington state is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and build data acquisition and control systems for testing space vehicle sub-assemblies and engines. You will collect customer specs, create electrical design packages, and manage build activities through procurement and vendor coordination.

The role emphasizes instrumentation, CAD-based schematic design, and signal conditioning. A BS in Electrical Engineering is required; MS is a plus.

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline
  • 5 years' experience with industrial or aerospace control system design or operation
  • Ability to design I&C systems using CAD based electrical schematic and panel layout tools (preferably AutoCAD Electrical)
  • Demonstrate knowledge of instrumentation theory coupled with integration into data acquisition hardware.
  • Experience working with instrumentation: static and dynamic pressure, cryogenic temperature sensors (silicon diodes or RTDs), LVDTs, and accelerometers

Responsibilities

  • Design and build data acquisition and control systems for testing space vehicle sub-assemblies and engines.
  • Collect customer specifications, create electrical design packages, and manage build activities through procurement and vendor management.
  • Support installation and activation of systems on test facilities.
  • Examples include 20+ 3G-SDI video monitoring, accelerometer data acquisition, and cryogenic temperature monitoring.
