Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a seasoned engineer to design and build data acquisition and control systems for rocket engine tests and space-vehicle sub-assemblies. You will collect specifications, develop electrical design packages, and manage builds from procurement through vendor coordination.

The role requires a BS in engineering and hands-on experience with instrumentation, LabVIEW, C++, Python, PLC logic, and tools like AutoCAD Electrical, NI hardware, and Dewesoft.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering or equivalent; 5–10 years in aerospace/control systems.
• Ability to design I&C systems using AutoCAD Electrical schematic and panel layout tools.
• Knowledge of instrumentation theory and integration with data acquisition hardware (NI, Dewesoft, or similar).
• Experience with instrumentation: static/dynamic pressure, cryogenic sensors, LVDTs, accelerometers.
• Software development in PLC ladder Logic, LabVIEW, C++, or Python.

Responsibilities

• Design and build data acquisition and control systems for testing space vehicle components.
• Collect requirements, create electrical design packages, manage builds, procurement, and vendor management.
• Support installation and activation of systems including video monitoring, sensor conditioning, and cryogenic temperature measurements.
