Job summary

HF Sinclair Corporation is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Controls Engineer IV to provide engineering support and guidance for instrumentation across operating units. You will design, configure, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems, including DCS and SIS, and develop work packages with P&IDs and control narratives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation & Controls Engineering plus five years in an Engineer IV E&I discipline.
• Experience supporting instrumentation reliability and maintenance in oil and gas.
• Designing, configuring, and troubleshooting instrumentation and control systems, including DCS and SIS.
• Developing instrument and control work packages with P&IDs, logic diagrams, and control narratives.
• Staying current with emerging instrumentation technologies and control system advancements.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support, guidance, and development assistance to field colleagues.
• Ensure reliability and integrity of instrumentation systems across operating units.
• Analyze instrumentation data to support operational decision-making.
• Design, upgrade, configure, maintain, and monitor instrumentation equipment and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues impacting operations and reliability.
• Develop project scopes, cost estimates, and AFEs for approval.
• Stay current with advancements in instrumentation technologies and industry innovations.
