Job summary

HF Sinclair Corporation seeks an instrumentation engineering professional to provide support, guidance, and development assistance in instrumentation reliability across operating units. You will analyze data, design and maintain instrumentation systems, and troubleshoot issues impacting operations and reliability.

The role includes developing instrument and control work packages (P&IDs, logic diagrams) and preparing AFEs for approval, with up to 10% domestic travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation & Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or closely related field.
• Minimum five years' experience in instrumentation reliability and maintenance in oil and gas.
• Experience designing, configuring, and troubleshooting instrumentation and control systems including DCS and SIS; developing work packages with P&IDs and logic diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support, guidance, and development assistance for instrumentation reliability.
• Analyze instrumentation data to support operational decisions.
• Design, upgrade, configure, maintain and monitor instrumentation equipment and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting operations and reliability.
• Develop instrument and control work packages, including P&IDs and logic diagrams; prepare AFEs for approval.
