Job summary

HF Sinclair is seeking an Instrument & Controls Project Manager to coordinate and execute multiple capital and expense projects at the Woods Cross refinery. You will lead cross-disciplinary teams through FEL, commissioning, and startup, ensuring compliance with HF Sinclair engineering practices and safety standards.

The role requires 10+ years of project management experience in refinery or process industries and a mechanical engineering background.

Qualifications

• Progressive experience managing capital projects in a refinery or similar process industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering preferred; other engineering degrees considered or experience in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage multiple capital projects ranging from $100K to $5M.
• Serve as the single point of accountability for project status and performance.
• Facilitate cross-disciplinary teams from FEL through commissioning and startup.
• Ensure compliance with HF Sinclair engineering practices and regulations.
• Develop detailed Project Execution Plans including engineering, procurement, construction, and start-up activities.
• Develop cost estimates and schedules.
• Lead process safety management activities and management of change.
• Drive project safety through design and field planning.
• Coordinate environmental permits and bid specifications.
• Identify and manage project risks and forecast cost/schedule performance.
• Engage in project change management and maintain project records.
