Job summary

HF Sinclair Corporation seeks an Instrument & Controls Project Manager to coordinate and execute multiple capital projects at the Woods Cross refinery, improving safety, reliability and profitability. You will lead cross-functional teams from FEL through commissioning, directing cost estimates and schedules from $100K to $5M.

Minimum 10 years in refinery/project management and a mechanical engineering degree are preferred; proficiency with MS Project, SAP, and Primavera P6 is valued.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience managing capital projects in a refinery or similar process industry.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering preferred; other engineering degrees considered.
• Proficient in Front-End Loading and detailed design/construction practices.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders.
• Proficient with Project Controls including cost, forecasting and scheduling.
• Experience working with engineering contractors and suppliers.
• Knowledge of engineering standards and best practices; MS Project, SAP, Primavera P6 familiarity.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage capital projects from $100K to $5M across FEL to commissioning.
• Serve as single point of accountability for project status and performance.
• Facilitate multi-disciplinary teams to define scope and development plans.
• Ensure engineering activities align with HF Sinclair practices and regulations.
• Develop and manage project cost estimates and schedules.
• Lead process safety management activities including MOC and PSM.
• Drive safety through project design and field planning.
• Support turnaround planning and startup activities as needed.
