Job summary

RINA seeks a Senior Instrumentation Design & Automation Control Engineer for our Houston, TX or Chicago/Lisle, IL office within the Plant Engineering Division. The role focuses on leading I&C system design for oil & gas facilities, ensuring compliance with standards and safety requirements.

You will develop instrumentation and control deliverables, architectures, and philosophies, while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to implement sensors, valves, PLCs, SCADA, and DCS systems, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation and Control Engineering or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with automation and instrumentation.
• Instrument detailed design deliverables, PLC/HMI, narratives, logic and integration.
• Competences in the design of F&G detection systems.
• SmartPlant Instrumentation (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Prepare instrumentation and control deliverables.
• Prepare automation architectures and control philosophies.
• Participate in multidisciplinary reviews.
• Prepare technical recommendations.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure I&C systems meet complex project requirements and comply with industry standards.
• Ensure I&C systems adhere to stringent safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Produce detailed technical documentation, including system specifications, drawings, manuals, and operating procedures.
