Job summary

Amgen in New Albany, OH is seeking a Sr Instrument Technician to provide repair and calibration services for Utilities/Facilities assets and systems. The role supports mission-critical site operations and requires accurate maintenance for compliance and continuous supply.

You will perform scheduled maintenance and calibration on instruments, provide emergency repairs, assist with projects with system engineers, and help ensure instrumentation in a validated environment meets all policies.

Qualifications

High school diploma / GED with 2 years of Facilities experience
Associate degree and six months of Facilities experience
Bachelor's degree

Responsibilities

Maintains equipment to ensure uninterrupted service to Amgen
Performs regular scheduled maintenance/calibration on instruments supporting utility systems
Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment and plant systems
Assists with projects by collaborating with system engineers to design, specify, and commission new systems or upgrades
Responsible for compliance with applicable policies and procedures
Applies engineering experience to instrumentation and controls systems used in facilities
Performs periodic assessment of field device calibration frequencies and addressing out of tolerance (OOT) issues
