Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Senior Instrument Technician in Indiana to repair and calibrate utilities and facilities assets essential to site operations. You will perform routine maintenance on instruments supporting environmental monitoring, pressure, gas detection, scales, and process equipment to ensure compliance and continuous supply.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with facilities experience (or higher degrees) and knowledge of validated systems.

Qualifications

• Basic qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with 2 years of facilities experience, or an associate degree with six months experience, or a bachelor’s degree.
• Preferred qualifications include an associate’s degree in electronics technology, knowledge of validated systems, and ability to work with facility software applications.
• Must manage activities to meet tight timelines and possess strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains equipment to ensure uninterrupted service for site operations.
• Performs regular scheduled maintenance and calibration on instruments supporting utilities and process equipment.
• Provides emergency or unscheduled repairs of equipment and plant systems.
• Collaborates with system engineers to design, specify, and commission new or upgraded systems.
• Communicates status of job activities to management and production support personnel.
