Job summary

Amgen in New Albany, OH is seeking an Automation Maintenance Technician (6PM to 6AM) to join our operations. You will provide technical engineering support on system optimization, calibration, and maintenance while ensuring compliance with CFRs and FDA standards.

You will diagnose with PLC/HMI, coordinate cross-functional tech support, support inspections, manage spare parts, and help move to 24-hour coverage as the plant scales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• Strong background in PLC and automation technology.
• Experience in pharma/biotech regulatory contexts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering support for system optimization and maintenance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot automated manufacturing equipment using PLC/HMI.
• Coordinate tech support across engineering, regulatory, calibration and validation.
• Support regulatory inspections and respond to FDA/other agencies.
• Maintain spare parts inventory for equipment.
• Evaluate maintenance procedures and optimize programs.
• Interpret P&ID drawings and related utility and HVAC plans.
• Support 24-hour operations during non-standard shifts.
