Job summary

Amgen is seeking an Instrumentation Technician to perform calibration, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of instruments across process control and building systems. The role emphasizes compliance with GMPs and SOPs, with documentation in CMMS and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

The position requires reading technical manuals, interpreting P&IDs, and a background in instrumentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1 year maintenance/manufacturing experience or military experience, or an Associate's degree.
• Experience with instrumentation, calibration, and metrology programs.
• Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Experience in a cGMP regulated environment.
• Experience documenting work orders in CMMS.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs and technical diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled calibration, maintenance, installation, repair, and troubleshooting of instruments and equipment across process control and building systems.
• Complete quality and safety documentation according to GMPs, SOPs, and Amgen policies.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems as needed.
• Communicate task status effectively to system operators and stakeholders.
• Document work orders accurately in the maintenance management system.
• Participate in on-call rotations or shifts outside normal hours as needed.
