NextDecade is seeking a full-time Engineer, Instrument & Controls to support the Rio Grande LNG facility near Brownsville, TX. This role reports to the Manager Instrumentation, Controls, and Electrical Engineering and may backfill the manager during absences.

The engineer will lead control systems engineering, coordinate DCS and safety system activities, and ensure documentation and MOC compliance, while driving reliability and uptime for critical gas turbine-driven compressor strings.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of control systems engineering experience.
• 5+ years of instrumentation and control systems experience in LNG facilities or equivalent.
• Willingness to travel domestically & internationally (10–15%).

Responsabilités

• Lead control systems engineering for the RGLNG facility to support day-to-day operations and long-term reliability.
• Lead frontline support to troubleshoot control logic issues and equipment trips; optimize availability.
• Develop and monitor control systems KPIs to ensure safe, reliable operation.
• Coordinate DCS support engineers and contractor turbine controls personnel.
• Ensure MOC procedures and software change requests are followed and docs are up to date.
