Job summary

NextDecade is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for Brownfield Projects to support Rio Grande LNG facilities in Texas. You will coordinate FEED/EPCC activities, manage safety and schedule, and liaise with Contractors, Vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure compliant delivery.

The role requires a strong background in oil and gas brownfield projects, LNG/ refinery exposure, and proficiency with 3D modeling tools. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Brownfield Projects.

Qualifications

• B.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering (or similar).
• 5+ years as Brownfield Projects Engineer in oil and gas (including SIMOPS/Turnarounds).
• Professional Engineering License or eligibility for registration.
• Experience 15+ years in the oil and gas industry.
• 10+ years as a Project Engineer in oil and gas (Green/Brownfield).
• 5+ years in Project/Operations in LNG or refinery industries.
• Advanced skills in project management and brownfield delivery.
• Intermediate skills in 3D modeling (Smart Plant/Navisworks) and contract management.
• Budgeting, scheduling, and quality control for projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensure FEED/EPCC activities are safe, on schedule, on budget, and meet technical requirements.
• Prepare BODs/FEED packages and EPC tenders; analyze technical proposals.
• Participate in technical clarifications with Contractors and Vendors.
• Provide timely responses to Contractors and Vendors comments and reviews.
• Monitor KPIs (HSE, schedule, budget, quality) and recovery plans.
• Oversee TDRs/NCRs processing and closure; manage FATs/SATs.
• Ensure SIMOPS procedures & PTW system are implemented by contractors.
• Coordinate handover of facilities/equipment from Contractors to NextDecade.
