Job summary

NextDecade is seeking a full-time Engineer, Brownfield Projects I&C, to support long-term operations of the Rio Grande LNG facility near Brownsville, Texas. A specialist project engineer with Instrumentation and Controls expertise will coordinate FEED/EPCC activities and manage technical interfaces with Contractors and Vendors.

The role emphasizes safety, schedule, and budget adherence, with exposure to SIMOPS, Turn Arounds, and a broad range of disciplines.

Qualifications

• B.S. or higher in Instrumentation and Controls Engineering (or similar).
• 5+ years as Brownfield Projects Engineer in the oil and gas industry (including exposure to SIMOPS and Turn Arounds).
• A Professional Engineering License or eligibility for registration.

Responsibilities

• Ensure FEED and/or EPCC activities by Contractors are executed safely, on schedule, on budget and per technical requirements.
• Coordinate with Contractors and Vendors on clarifications and technical proposals; issue NEXTDECADE SME comments.
• Develop and monitor KPIs (HSE, schedule, budget, quality, compliance) and manage recovery plans as needed.
