Job summary

Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. in Thousand Oaks, CA, seeks a Senior Instrument Calibration Technician V to lead metrology activities across manufacturing, performing advanced calibration, troubleshooting, installation, and documentation.

The role requires strong independent judgment and collaboration with Engineering, Maintenance, Process Control, and external contractors. Shift: 1st shift, Tue–Fri, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM, with three 10-hour days and one 7-hour day.

Qualifications

Requires high school diploma or equivalent; a 2-year technical associate degree preferred.
5+ years in process instrumentation and calibration; pharma/manufacturing experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of metrology, calibration techniques, and read/write of wiring diagrams and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced calibration, troubleshooting, maintenance, installation and modification of instrumentation.
Calibrate instrumentation including temperature, pressure, conductivity, UV, pH, flow, and gas detection systems.
Review calibration reports and initiate corrective actions when out-of-tolerance conditions occur.
Plan and schedule routine calibration activities balancing metrology with production schedules.
Train and provide technical guidance to other technicians and coordinate metrology activities.
