Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking an experienced trainer to evaluate and lead the fleet instructor program across nuclear training environments. The role focuses on mentoring instructors, improving program quality, and ensuring compliance with SAT/TSD standards.

You will advise station leaders on accreditation renewal, coordinate with INPO, and manage governance of SAT processes while supporting outages and site readiness. A strong background in adult learning and leadership is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and experience in a technical field.
• 8 years’ experience total in technical training or education.
• 5 years’ experience as a qualified instructor in a commercial nuclear accredited program preferred.
• Advanced Technical Instructor certification or credentials.
• Familiarity with SAT or Training Systems Development (TSD) principles.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and monitor training programs and instructors; lead comprehensive self-assessments and conduct performance analysis.
• Observe instructors in training to provide real-time feedback and assist in design activities for accredited programs.
• Review data for accredited programs; advise senior leaders on accreditation renewal activities; prepare ASERs.
