Xcel Energy Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Operations Instructor to lead professional safety/technical training for nuclear transmission.

The role involves designing training materials, evaluating programs, and coordinating apprenticeship efforts across regions, with possible extended customer-site assignments. You will manage training programs, develop testing instruments, and consult with customers to align training with business goals, while ensuring compliance and continuous

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or GED and an associate degree required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; RO or SRO license preferred.
• 3 years experience as Sr. Operations Instructor required.
• 10+ years nuclear operations instructional experience including 3 years as Sr. Operations Instructor.
• Instructor certification required.
• Other certifications such as NRRPT, NICET, SRO, PE preferred.
• Ability to obtain unescorted access to nuclear power plant required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training using systematic approaches and develop materials.
• Oversee apprenticeship programs and instructional staff.
• Apply business processes and project management to training.
• Consult with customers to identify business needs.
• Design and evaluate testing instruments and analyze impact.
• Provide technical and process improvement consulting.
• Meet ongoing training requirements.
• Coordinate and facilitate special projects.
