Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced Nuclear Training Instructor to develop, deliver, and continuously improve training courses and materials using the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT). You will revise content to reflect plant changes and regulatory updates, and coach junior instructors while ensuring program alignment with NRC and INPO standards.

You will lead cross-disciplinary instruction in Engineering, Health Physics, Chemistry, and Maintenance, identifying gaps and driving curriculum

Qualifications

• 7+ years of nuclear training experience.
• Bachelor's in a technical field or equivalent education/experience.
• Preferred: Certified Nuclear Training Instructor Classroom.

Job description

• Develop, deliver, and improve assigned training courses, supporting materials, and instructor/student evaluations using the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT)
• Revise instructional materials to reflect changes in plant design, current plant practices, regulations, and operating philosophies
• Provide direction and coach less-experienced instructors
• Serve as training program lead, ensuring assigned instruction complies with company standards, NRC regulations, INPO accreditation criteria, and other codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
• Provide instruction related to Engineering, Health Physics, Chemistry, Maintenance, and other disciplines and specialties
• Identify instructional gaps and improvements to training agendas in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Grad / GED
• Bachelor's or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of experience
• 7+ years of nuclear experience
• Bachelor's in a technical field (e.g., Math, Physical Sciences specialty, Engineering) or equivalent education and/or experience
• 8+ years of related industry or nuclear training experience
• Preferred: Bachelor's in Sciences
• Preferred: Bachelor's in Engineering
• Preferred: Certified Nuclear Training Instructor Classroom

Demonstrates expertise in developing and delivering training programs in compliance with NRC regulations and INPO accreditation criteria, with a strong focus on Engineering, Health Physics, and Chemistry disciplines.
