Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University’s Peabody Institute seeks a Sr. Instructional Technologist to lead support and delivery of online courses and media-enabled content, mentoring an instructional technology team, and partnering with faculty to implement innovative tools.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, maintaining LMS and video platforms, supporting 700-level master’s courses and MOOCs, producing training materials, and advancing the instructional technology ecosystem across Peabody’s music

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in instructional design/technology or related field.
Five years of related experience.
Ability to troubleshoot complex technology problems and explain concepts clearly.
Education/substitution may be allowed per university policy.

Responsibilities

Supervise instructional technologists, contractors, and student workers.
Provide instructional technology guidance to faculty, staff, and students.
Maintain and improve LMS, video platforms, and licenses for course production.
Lead support for 700‑level master’s courses, undergraduate and graduate courses, MOOCs.
Conduct regular faculty trainings and manage equipment inventory.
Collaborate with instructional designers and multimedia technicians on learning experiences.
Produce live events and pilot innovative instructional technology tools.
