Job summary

Samsara is seeking a Senior Instructional Designer to craft learning experiences that help customers maximize the value of our Connected Operations platform. You’ll develop scalable content across formats, partner with Customer Education to drive adoption, and shape the future of our product education with AI-driven methods.

You will own learning journeys for product areas such as Safety, collaborate with SUCCESS, Product, Sales, and Implementation teams, and push the boundaries of how training

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years learning design or instructional design in a software/SAAS setting.
• Knowledge of instructional design methodologies and the ability to craft effective learning content.
• Ability to translate complex technical information for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to identify the best learning delivery formats (online, assessments, audio).
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
• Attention to design aesthetics and visual detail.

Responsibilities

• Define training requirements, learning goals, and user needs with stakeholders.
• Craft and build learning and credentialing experiences in various formats (online, audio, video, in-app).
• Leverage AI-based content authoring and multimedia to develop content rapidly and iteratively.
• Evolve processes, test new instructional development models and tooling.
• Solicit SME reviews and assess content effectiveness.
• Own an assigned Samsara product area, monitor updates, and curate its curriculum.
• Build product expertise via self-directed research and SME collaboration.
• Design and write engaging assessments.
• Champion Samsara’s values as we scale globally and across offices.
