Blink Health in the United States seeks a Senior Instructional Designer, AI & Simulation Enablement to lead the design and scaling of AI-powered training environments across product and engineering teams.

You will translate learning needs into technical requirements, build realistic simulations, and partner with SMEs to ensure measurable performance improvements while maintaining accessibility and governance standards.

Qualifications

7+ years in instructional design, learning experience design, or a closely related L&D role.
Experience building with AI to design, develop, and scale learning experiences, including AI-assisted content generation, prompt engineering, content transformation, and workflow optimization.
Experience creating AI-generated learning assets—simulations, chatbots, branching scenarios, role-play conversations, assessments, and coaching/reinforcement activities (portfolio/work samples required).

Responsibilities

Design branching scenarios, role-play conversations, and procedural simulations rooted in adult learning principles.
Define realism and effectiveness for simulations with personas, difficulty curves, failure states, and feedback loops.
Build and maintain a simulation roadmap aligned to high-priority skill gaps.
Own prompt engineering and configuration behind AI-driven simulations using licensed platforms or custom tools.
Evaluate AI simulation vendors and in-house tech against learning outcomes and TCO.
Maintain knowledge of AI/LLM capabilities and translate into realistic scope and timelines.
Serve as product owner for L&D outcomes in collaboration with P&E teams.
Pressure-test simulations with facilitators and incorporate feedback into design and iteration.
Translate platform constraints into design trade-offs understandable by stakeholders.
Represent L&D in Product/Engineering planning affecting training outcomes.
Pioneer AI-driven design and production processes to scale simulations while maintaining quality.
Stay current on AI tools and techniques relevant to simulation and instructional design.
Define and track success metrics (time-to-competency, skill transfer, etc.).
Use analytics to identify skill gaps and iterate programs accordingly.
Report program impact to L&D leadership tying results to business outcomes.
Ensure simulations meet accessibility standards and data privacy requirements.
Establish and maintain a quality/review process for AI-generated content.
